U12 | Cunniffe pounces to hit Rock’s winner

U12 Premier | Bellurgan United 0–1 Rock Celtic

Tom Cunniffe’s goal settled this tight U12 Premier Division game between Bellurgan United and Rock Celtic on Sunday.

There proved to be very little between two very evenly matched sides in front of a good crowd at Tom Flynn Park.

Bellurgan had a couple of chances to take the lead with the Rock goalkeeper the busier of the two netminders in the first half.

The Seasiders knew they would have to work hard to get any sort of result and that proved to be the case with Cunniffe grabbing the vital goal.

It came after a great cross by Thomas McNamara was knocked down by the Bellurgan keeper and the ever alert Cunniffe pounced to fire the ball home.
