U12 | Bellurgan and Ardee to contest final

United see off Bay while Deesiders edge past Glenmuir

The Ardee Celtic U12 team

Ardee Celtic and Bellurgan United will contest this season’s U12 Dundalk FC Cup final following wins over Glenmuir United and Bay United on Sunday morning.

Ardee were one-nil winners over Glenmuir United in a tight but exciting game that was settled by a first half goal from James Maguire.

A gallant Glenmuir side battled bravely in search of an equaliser with Steven Okeke going close on several occasions but Ardee’s well organised defence of Oisin Roe, Nathan Commins and James Sands were outstanding throughout the game.

Jack Mullen almost snatched a last minute equaliser for the Dundalk side but he was denied by a brilliant save from the impressive Ardee goalkeeper Andrew Wogan.

GLENMUIR UNITED: Conor Weir, Motos Luko, Fionn Connolly, Daniel Brogan, Dara McGeough, Robert Kilgallen, Liam O’Connor, Jack Mullen, James Haughey, Steven Okeke, Ryan McEneaney, Tony McDonnell, Alan Jumbo Glynn.

In the other semi-final Bellurgan United were comfortable 5–0 winners over Bay United with two goals each for Thomas McCaragher and James Sharkey and one from Cormac Mallon.
