Goalkeeper McEvoy is the Blues hero

The Glenmuir FC U10 team enjoyed their bank holiday weekend, winning the Kells Blackwater Cup on Saturday.
The young Blues progressed through their group by winning all their games and scoring some spectacular goals along the way.
As well as that, they kept it watertight at the back and didn’t concede a goal in any of their group matches.

A tough semi-final followed with the game going to a penalty shootout. Goalkeeper Oran McEvoy was the Glenmuir hero, saving three spot kicks to secure a place in the final.
McEvoy repeated his heroics in the final, saving a fantastic four penalties in another shootout to secure Glenmuir the trophy.
Every member of the Glenmuir squad played a part in the success with plenty of teamwork and hard work ensuring the trophy made its way back to Dundalk.
