SNOOKER | Ralph’s team see their unbeaten run come to an end

Spectators watch on as Alan Thompson prepares a pot at the Peadar Callan Commercial Club Snooker League

An exciting night in the Peadar Callan Commercial Club Summer Snooker League on Wednesday saw a number of tight and exciting games that showcased the real talent that is about town at the minute.

Some great individual displays from Micky Ralph, Stephen O’Hanlon and Alan Thompson, coupled with the now customary Ciaran McShane fluke made for some fantastic viewing for those in attendance.

The big story of the night was Micky Ralph’s team losing their unbeaten run, going down to an excellent display from Paddy Hayes’ side. Meanwhile, Alan Thompson’s team enjoyed a great win against Brendan O’Hanlon’s team, running out 3–1 winners.

In the final game, some excellent snooker from Dominic O’Connor saw him beat Aaron Callan and some fantastic snooker from Stephen O’Hanlon put his team two-up on the night.

JJ McArdle continued his great form by pulling one back, leaving his team with a chance to secure a draw in the doubles match but it wasn’t to be as O’Hanlon’s team ran out 3–1 winners.
