RUGBY | Dundalk Rugby Club to host Beachy Cup on Saturday

Mill Road men gearing up for first league game on September 16th

Dundalk RFC will host this year’s Beachy Cup tournament at the Mill Road on Saturday, August 26th.

The competition, which features the hosts, Ardee RFC, Ashbourne RFC, Balbriggan RFC, Boyne RFC, Navan RFC, North Meath RFC and Swords RFC kicks off at 1pm.

There will be 12 round matches, followed by a Spoon match, Bowl final, Plate final and Cup final. Presentations will follow the cup final at 4.15pm.

Dundalk RFC will kick off their new Leinster League season on September 16th when they travel to Enniscorthy. Their first home game comes a week later when they meet De La Salle Palmerston at the Mill Road.

Head coach Mike Walls will be assisted by former captain MJ McKevitt and forwards coach Niall Smullen while Enda Murphy will captain the side.
