RUGBY | Dundalk RFC youngsters celebrate a successful season

New Saracens signing pops in to hand out awards

Tadgh McElroy was on hand to give out some awards at the Dundalk RFC Minis awards night on Saturday

The youngsters from Dundalk RFC’s U9 and U11 Minis enjoyed their end of season celebration at the Mill Road on Saturday evening.

Along with their respective coaches, the players were able to reflect on a season where the boys represented all that is good about the game.

New friendships were made and maintained, new skills learned and developed while the boys represented their parents and their club with pride on trips away.

What made the finale to their season even more special was that new Saracens player, Tadgh McElroy, was there as guest of honour for the evening.

Tadgh, to his credit, remembered his roots by coming back to the place where it all began for him at Dundalk RFC.

He enjoyed the status of a hero from the stars of the future as he made their night by presenting each of the players with medals and certificates and giving them the photo opportunities that will mean so much in the future to them.
