MTB League | Campbell edges out Hynes in first round of Mountain Bike League

Ronan McDonnell, Eoin Carthy and Jason Malone, the first three home in the U14 race

The first round of the Cuchulainn Cycling Club 9th Wave Mountain Bike (MTB) League took place on Tuesday night at Bellurgan Park.

Conor Campbell (18.33), PJ Hynes (18.38) and Brendan Foley (19.38) took first, second and third in the main race with Darragh Maloney (19:39) fourth and David O’Neill (19:51) in fifth.

Eoin Carthy, Robert Malone and Ronan McDonnell came in one, two and three in the inaugural U14 race with Tiernan Dodsworth and Joseph Pfeifer fourth and fifth respectively.

The race organisers would like to thank the race sponsors, 9th Wave Cycles and BikeFix.ie along with all of the marshals who helped out on the night.

The league continues at various locations every Tuesday night until May 16th and then resumes again after a week’s break on May 30th. The NPS takes place on June 25th.
