Louth ring the changes for Sligo game
Wee County have already secured promotion
With promotion to Division Two of the Allianz National Football League already in the bag, Louth manager Colin Kelly has made a number of changes to his side for Sunday’s game against Sligo in Drogheda.
The Wee County’s victory in Tipperary last weekend secured Louth a place in the second tier — and also a place in the Division Three final at Croke Park on April 8th — and Kelly will use tomorrow’s game as a chance to look at the fringe players in his panel.
Only three players from the side that beat Tipp at Semple Stadium — Kurt Murphy, Patrick Reilly and Sam Mulroy — retain their place in the starting line-up.
Joe Flanagan from Drogheda’s O’Raghallaigh’s will start in goal while Dreadnots’ Anthony Williams returns from suspension. Jim McEneaney (Geraldines), Derek Crilly (Dundalk Gaels), Conor Martin (Sean O’Mahony’s) and Conal McKeever (Clan na Gael) are also named in the 15.
The Louth team is as follows: Joe Flanagan (O’Raghallaigh’s); Kurt Murphy (Sean O’Mahony’s), Patrick Reilly (St Brides), Kevin Carr (Newtown Blues); Derek Crilly (Dundalk Gaels), Darren McMahon (St Mochtas), Darren Marks (Cooley Kickhams); Conor Martin (Sean O’Mahony’s), James Califf (Dreadnots); Anthony Williams (Dreadnots), Jim McEneaney (Geraldines), Conal McKeever (Clan na Gael); Ruairi Moore (O’Raghallaigh’s), Sam Mulroy (Naomh Mairtin), Ronan Holcroft (St Fechin’s).
Throw-in on Sunday is 2pm.
