O’Leary and McNally depart after a frustrating season

The Louth Ladies County Board are currently seeking applications for the position of a new county senior team manager following the departure of John O’Leary and Fergal McNally.

The joint managers worked alongside Martina Nolan, Roisin Hanlon and Terry Judge this season but endured a frustrating campaign with the Wee County relegated from the Intermediate Championship and failing to win promotion from Division Four.

A review of their tenure took place at a county board meeting in Castlebellingham on Thursday night where a motion was passed to look for a new management team for 2018.

Clubs are invited to submit nominations for the post and potential applicants must have — or be in the process of obtaining — the following requirements: Code Of Ethics, Foundation Course and Garda Vetting.

Applications must be submitted to the county secretary, Liam O’Neill, on or before Wednesday, September 20th.

At minor level, the management team of Sonia Gernon, Gerry Callan and Edel Woods will remain in their posts for 2018.
