KARATE | Liam shows his class by winning bronze at World Championships in Madrid
The Spanish capital of Madrid saw an influx of Karate-Ka for the very first CIKA World Championships recently and Dundalk was represented by local starlet, Liam Hoey.
Having attended numerous CIKA Ireland squad training sessions, the Dundalk Karate youngster was selected to be part of the CIKA Ireland team who competed at this inaugural international event.
Despite competing at local, national and international level here in Ireland over the past few months, this was a definite step up for this budding Karate-Ka but he produced a fantastic display to win an amazing bronze medal in Team Kumite.
With CIKA Ireland coaches and family members on the sidelines cheering the Irish team members on, everyone certainly enjoyed Liam’s success!
Everyone within Dundalk Karate — CIKA Dundalk, are very proud of this budding champion. Well done Liam!
