Seniors overcome Pearse Og in Dundalk derby

The club’s senior team recorded a 4–9 to 1–15 victory over town rivals Pearse Og in Kilkerley last Thursday night in the opening round of the senior league.

The Moninne scorers were Andrew Mackin (2–1), David Yore (1–2), Ronan Geoghegan (1–1), Darren O’Hanrahan (0–2), Tadhg Moore (0–2) and John Martin (0–1). They will travel up to Termonfeckin this Thursday night to take on St Fechin’s at 8pm.

Underage news

Several of the club’s U17 boys will be on the Louth team when they travel to the Abbotstown GAA Centre next Saturday afternoon to take on Mayo in the Celtic Challenge Division Five Quarter Final at 4pm.

This year’s Naomh Moninne Hurling Cul Camp will again take place in Dowdallshill from Monday, July 31st to Friday, August 4th. The cost is €60 and you can register online at gaa.ie/kelloggsculcamps.

An all county hurling Cul Camp will take place in Darver from Monday July 3rd to Friday, July 7th.

U14 Feile

The U14 team continue their preparations for their trip to the National Feile weekend which takes place from Friday, June 16th to Sunday, June 18th.

The host club are Burren Rangers from Carlow and Moninne will also play games in Division Seven against Castleblaney from Monaghan and Ballynastragh Gaels from Wexford.

Juvenile training continues on Saturday afternoon at the Fairgreen from 2pm to 3pm with the usual €2 contribution still applying.
