The trap draw for the Racing Post Dundalk International 2017 was made at Dundalk Stadium on Thursday afternoon.

Michael Mulvihill and Jay Dilger of the Racing Post were in attendance to oversee the draw.

Three of the runners hail from these shores with three from the UK also in contention.

Trap 1: Bubbly Bluebird

Owner: The Champagne Club. Trainer: Paul Young.
The leading puppy in England last year, when he won multiple competitions at Sunderland, Hove and Nottingham, before scoring in Open company in the Kent Derby. Won the Anglo-Irish Invitational at Towcester.

Trap 2: Droopys Wilbury

Owner: Robert Brinkley. Trainer: Pat Buckley.
Winner of the 2016 Juvenile Derby at Harold’s Cross, before going on to beat a quality 575 field on the Night Of Stars. Reached the final of the Comerford Cakes. Second round casualty in English Derby.

Trap 3: Droopys Acrobat

Owner: Quick Decision Syndicate. Trainer: Seamus Cahill.
Winner of the 2016 Irish Cesarewitch in Mullingar, and took an Open 620 on the International card twelve months ago. A multiple race winner when moved to England, where he reached the Derby final.

Trap 4: Good News (m)

Owners: Sandra Guilfoyle, Mary Kennedy. Trainer: Pat Guilfoyle.

Runner-up in both the National Greyhound Sales Unraced and Comerford Cakes Open, he reached the 2017 Scottish Derby final. Won the Golden Muzzle Open at Limerick, and broke the Tralee 550 record.

Trap 5: Jaytee Jet (w)

Owner: John Turner. Trainer: Paul Hennessy.
The 2016 English Derby winner, the last run at Wimbledon. Got as far as the quarter-finals when defending his title in Towcester. Warmed up with two solo trials over course and distance.

Trap 6: Murrys Act (w)

(Tullymurry Act — Brave Meave) March 2015
Owner: Kevin Boon. Trainer: Kevin Boon.
Winner of the Racing Post Juvenile at Central Park, when he had an odds-on Droopys Wilbury behind. The youngest contender briefly held the track record at Towcester on the way to reaching English Derby final.
