GOLF | Pete tears up the course at Punter’s Golf Society outing to Coorstown
The Punters Golf Society held their fourth outing of the year at Coorstown Golf Club, Kilsallaghan, Co Dublin recently.
At the top of the class in Category One was Buster Carroll with a score of 35 points with Eamonn O’Farrell coming in second on 31 points.
With a fantastic score of 41 points was Pete Clarke in Category Two who certainly burned up the course on the day. Many congratulations to Pete. Second in Category Two was Noel McGill on 34 points.
After the golf the players returned to the clubhouse for soup and sandwiches which were very tasty and excellent quality as part of the society deal on offer at the club.
Later in the evening, the prizes were presented to the winners on the day in the Punter’s Bar. The society’s thanks go to Ronan Hoey for his culinary skills with the BBQ later in the evening.
Thanks once again for the safe transport to and from the venue by Paul Curran. Lastly, thanks to the staff of the Punter’s Bar for the great service.
Next on the agenda is Captain Andrew Lynch’s Prize, which will take place at Knightsbrook Golf Club, Trim on July 12th with a tee off time of 1pm.
