GOLF | Open Three-Lady Team event a huge success at Mannan Castle

The Open Three-Lady team event at Mannan Castle ladies was a tremendous success, especially in the good weather.

Last Friday was a gorgeous day with blue skies and sunshine and the winning team of Rita O’Loughlin (18), Eilish Crawley (27) and Roisin McNulty win with 10 points to spare.

Mannan Castle would like to say a big word of thanks to Castle Fuels for their sponsorship of the competition.

Results of the Open Three-Lady team event held on May 5th — 1st: Rita O’Loughlin (18), Eilish Crawley (27), Roisin McNulty (28) 94; 2nd: Mary Gaynor (18) Ardee GC, Angela Gartlan (21), Kate Beagan (32) 83; 3rd: Una Woods (20) Nuremore GC, Patricia Connolly (21) Nuremore GC, Lady Captain Esther Durcan (26) 82; Nearest the Pin: Angela Gartlan 12th; Nearest the Pin: Rosemary Barry 17th.

Rosebowl Competition

Last Wednesday’s Rosebowl competition was sponsored by Gerry and Kathleen Cumiskey and was won by Jo Barry with three points to spare.

Jo is totally enjoying her golf at the moment and she lit up the course with an impressive 44 points.

In second place, with a notable 41 points, was Angela Gartlan while Noreen Murphy just pipped Marie Finnegan for third place with an a very respectable 38 points.

The May Day open was won by Marie Finnegan who just beat Angela Gartlan in second by a single point.
