GAA | O’Mahony’s to hold 25th anniversary night for 1992 intermediate champions

This month will mark the 25th anniversary of the Sean O’Mahonys’ first ever Louth Intermediate Championship success.

The Point Road side, captained by Willie Crawley, won the Seamus Flood Cup after overcoming Naomh Fionnbarra in a replay in Castlebellingham and celebrated in Clarke’s Bar in the Quay with many renditions the club song, ‘Grand Aul Team’, given an airing.

To mark the occasion, the club are holding a 25th anniversary night in Clarke’s Bar on November 4th. All members of the team are invited to attend.

The Sean O’Mahony’s U9 team that played Cuchulainn Gaels in a friendly at DkIT Sport on Sunday

The Sean O’Mahony’s/Na Piarsaigh/Dowdallshill U16 team are away in Dromiskin on Wednesday night when they play against St Joseph’s at 7pm.

For all the underage kids, training moves indoors to DkIT Sport every Wednesday at 6.30pm, for the next few months.

The U12s to U8s are on the large treble pitch, while the U7s down will have their own separate pitch.
