GAA | New Louth boss McGrath set to face his native county in first league game
Wee County have three home games and four away in 2018
Louth will begin their 2018 Allianz National Football League Division Two season when new manager Pete McGrath welcomes his native Down to the Gaelic Grounds in Drogheda on Sunday, January 28th.
The Wee County follow that up with two games on the road against Cavan (Saturday, February 3rd) and Cork (Sunday, February 11th) respectively before entertaining Roscommon (Sunday, February 25th) in round four.
A trip to Tip awaits on Sunday, March 4th when the Reds play Tipperary at Semple Stadium before they host Meath in a St Patrick’s weekend derby on Sunday, March 18th before rounding off their league campaign seven days later against Clare at Cusack Park.
Meanwhile, Louth’s Leinster Senior Championship opener against Carlow has been fixed for the weekend of May 12th/13th.
