GAA | Kilkerley Emmets GFC Club Notes

Kilkerley Emmets juniors lost to Dundalk Gaels in Division Four recently, going down on a 4–17 to 2–5 scoreline with scores from Darren Meehan (2–1), Robbie Shields and Conal McEneaney (0–2).

They followed it up, however, with a good 2–11 to 2–5 over table toppers Naomh Fionnbarra who went into the game on maximum points.

The team and scorers on the night were: Cillian Quigley, Declan Curran, Fintan Clarke, Tadgh Litchfield; Cillian Kampes (0–1), Niall Mulholland, Rian Hand; Cormac Bellew, Kieran Quigley; Cillian De Rover (0–2), Conal McEneaney (0–1), Connor Kirk (0–1); Darren Litchfield (1–2), Darren Meehan (1–4) and Robert Shields. Kyle Cotter and Ciaran Lennon were the used subs.

The juniors are away to St Patrick’s this Friday night at 8pm and are back in the peninsula again on Friday, June 16th when they face Cooley Kickhams at 8pm.

U14 Boys

The Kilkerley/Naomh Malachi U14 boys team lost to St Kevin’s on a 4–5 to 3–16 scoreline recently. The team was: Conal Brady; Ronan Deery, Niall Quigley, Andrew Begley (1–0); Shane McMenamin, Conal Quinn, Aaron Gogarty; Pauraic McGee (1–0), Kyle McFadden; Morgan Quigley (0–2), Liam Cawley, Joe Lennon (0–1); Aidan Corrigan, Rory Kirk (1–1), Fionn Cumiskey, Adam Duffy, Diarmuid McEneaney, Eoin McKenna, Rowan Harmon, Tiernan McKenna (1–0), Conor Conway (0–1).

U10 team

The club’s U10 team played in Knockbridge against St Brides, St Joseph’s and Newtown Blues recently, winning all three matches.

Well done to all the players and a big thank you to all the parents for making their children available on the night.

The squad on the night was: Taylor Donnelly, James Cawley, Cillian Clarke, Finnán Crawley, Tadhg Fitzgerald, Ryan Holland, Luke Shevlin, Jack O’Connor, Conall Cunningham, Cian McElroy, Odhrán Fee, Alex Babbington.

U12 Boys

The U12 boys lost to St Mary’s recently but all of the players performed to their very best.

The panel on the night was Robbie Conlon, Andrew Thornton, Dean Murtagh, Andrew Begley, Michael Kirby (0–1), Ryan McEneaney (1–0), Ronan Deery (0–1), Fionn Connolly (0–1), Cormac Mallon (0–2), Tom Clarke (0–1), Daragh Conlon, Glenn Hoey, Cian McElroy, Oran McMahon, Cillian Clarke, James O’Donnell and Gerry McFadden.

They play this Friday night, away to Roche at 7.30pm.

U12 Girls

The Kilkerley U12 girls team that played against the Clans last week

The club’s U12 girls played a great game last Thursday night to win against a strong Clan na Gael team. 
The sides were evenly matched but the Kilkerley girls got a few vital scores at the end. 
The team on the night was: Aisling Quigley, Ava Connolly, Katie Clarke, Emily Hoey, Niamh Cawley, Aoife Clarke, Kayleigh Grey Oakes, Aoife McGee, Aoibhe Holland, Clodagh Sharkey, Bríg McEnteggart, Niamh McGee, Muireann Harmon, Holly Conroy, Ellen Tumelty, Mai Anh Crawford, Ciara Quigley and Mia Clarke.

Training

Football training for boys and girls from U7-U12 continues each Saturday from 10.15am-11.30am.
