GAA | Dowdallshill rooted to the bottom after sixth straight defeat
Division Three | Dowdallshill 1–15 Stabannon 4–11
Dowdallshill are now three points adrift at the foot of the Division Three table following their sixth straight defeat.
Not for the first time this season, they were made pay a heavy price for a slack period in the first half, during which Parnells found the back of the net twice in quick succession, to establish a comfortable lead by half time, 3–7 to 0–6.
The ‘Hill were the better of the sides in the third quarter, and boosted by a Paul Gill goal, were only three points in arrears at the three quarter stage.
But from there, it was Parnells who came up with the necessary scores to kill the game off, and David Cluskey’s fourth goal of the night, sealed the win for the visitors.
Best for the ‘Hill were Paul Flynn, Daniel Kerr and Noel Finnegan.
