Camogie Blitz
An U8 and U10 camogie blitz took place at St Kevin’s GFC in Philipstown on Saturday, April 29th. Blackrock HC, St Fechin’s, St Kevin’s and St Anne’s all fielded teams. Well done to everybody who took part.
U10 Inniskeen Cup
Huge congratulations to the Cooley Kickhams U10 team who won the Keeva Kelly Memorial Cup in Inniskeen at the weekend.
An excellent display of grit and determination, together with skill and composure, got the boys over the line for a thoroughly deserved win. In total, Cooley played five games in total, winning four and drawing the fifth.
Cooley Kickhams
Cooley Kickhams beat the Glen Emmets in the U14 Division One League on Wednesday night, running out 5–10 to 3–3 winners. At half time it was 2–5 to 2–2 in favour of Cooley.

On Monday, Cooley Kickhams’ U16s beat the Dreadnots on a scoreline of 4–12 to 3–3. The Cooley panel was: Niall Brady, Ronan McBride, Conor McAvinney, Diarmuid O’Neill, MJ Hanlon, Gerard White, Finn Reilly, Joe Mee (1–4), Darragh Callan, Aodhan O’Hanlon (0–2), Peter Shields (0–3), Packie Carron (0–1), Patrick Johnston (1–2), Adam Bolton, Conor Murphy. Subs: James McGrath (2–0), Ian Arnold, Eunan McMullin, Aaron Rafferty, Pearse Hulme, Josh McShane, Jack McCann, Aaron Carolan.
Kilkerley Emmets
The Kilkerley/Naomh Malachi minors lost to Naomh Fionnbarra/Lannleire on a 2–8 to 1–10 scoreline last week. The scorers were: Conor Quigley (1–2), Ultan McEnaney (0–3), Michael Begley (0–2), Fintan Brady, Ciaran Lennon, Darren Geoghegan, Tadgh Litchfield (0–1) each. Sean McCaughey, Aaron McArdle, Oisin Conroy, Mark McShane, Ciaran Murtagh also played well.
The U16s also lost in round two of the Division One League to Cooley, going down by a point, 3–7 to 3–6. The team on the night was: Callam Mulholland, Adam Bellew, Mark McShane, Conor Begley, Tadhg McKeown, Fintan Brady, Patrick Murtagh, Conor Quigley (0–1), Aaron McArdle, Oisin Conroy (0–1), Ewan McEnteggart (0–1), Brian Brady (0–1), Aaron Crawford (1–1), Micheal Begley (1–1), Peter Connolly, Shay Coleman (1–0), Morgan Quigley, Mark Kirk, Shane McMenanin.
The U10 team put in a great effort at their second blitz of the year with strong performances against both St Mary’s and Dundalk Gaels. The panel was: Robbie Conlon, Cian McElroy, Odhrán Fee, Taylor Donnelly, Ciara Quigley, James Cawley, Finnán Crawley, Tadhg Fitzgerald, Ryan Holland, Jack O’Connor, Luke Shevlin, Cillian Clarke and Alex Babbington.
Elsewhere, the U8s hosted the first blitz of the year with a great turnout of players that meant they were able to field two teams. They put it up to Hunterstown Rovers, St Patricks and Roche Emmets in very tight matches. Well done to the whole panel of girls and boys.
The U16 girls team had two good recent victories, winning 4–12 to 2–6 against Naomh Fionnbarra and 6–18 to 1–2 against the Dreadnots. They play away to St Patrick’s on Wednesday, May 3rd at 7.30pm, are at home to Naomh Fionnbarra/Dreadnots on Wednesday, May 10th at 7.30pm and are away to St Mary’s/St Mochtas on Wednesday, May 17th at 7.30pm.
The U14s had a great win against St Mary’s in Ardee. playing a great brand of football along with great skill and hard work. The team on the night was: Chloe Conlon, Eabha McEnaney, Emily McElroy, Katie Cotter, Caoimhe Daly, Enya Kampes, Grainne Lynch, Ciara Sharkey, Keri Litchfield, Bronagh Cowan, Ella McEnteggart, Lucy Litchfield, Ciara Lennon, Caoibheann Brady, Ellie Mulligan, Aisling Quigley, Katie Clarke, Grainne Cumiskey, Ava Connolly, Emily Hoey, Sofia Stitt, Sarah Lawrence.
The U14 team are at home to Glyde/Westerns on Monday, May 8th at 7.30pm and are away to Naomh Mairtin on Monday, May 15th at 7.30pm. The U12 side played very well on Thursday last, putting in a strong performance against Stabannon to get their first win.

Underage training continues each Saturday from 10.15am-11.30am for all girls and boys aged from U7-U12.
Ardee St Mary’s
The Ardee St Mary’s Academy takes place every Saturday at 11am. Boys and girls aged 4–7 are welcome to join in on one hour of action packed fun! This is a great introduction to GAA where the focus is on the child’s agility, balance and coordination through games and fun exercises. The annual fee is €30 per child. No football boots or gum shields are required, just bring water and wear clothes your Mammy won’t mind getting dirty!
