Quay Celtic 1–2 Muirhevnamor FC

Tiarnan Mulvenna marked his first start in this year’s Dundalk Summer League with a goal in Muirhevnamor FC’s 2–1 win over Quay Celtic at the Army Barracks last Monday night.

Ian Devine equalised for the Quay but Muirhevnamor, fielding their strongest team of the season thus far, restored their lead through Chris Caulfield in the second half.

Quay Celtic pushed for an equaliser and went close on a number of occasions but the champions held on to take all three points.

Shamrocks FC 2–0 Setanta

A brace from Conor Macken was enough to give Shamrocks their second win of the season against Setanta in Fatima on Tuesday night.

Macken’s double came five minutes apart and moves him joint top of the scoring charts with Quay Celtic’s Cormac Reid on four goals.

Leslie Callan’s side had to make do without striking duo Billy Smith and Stephen Fisher but were able to welcome back veteran defender Dermot Grier and Aidan Sheekey.

Quay Celtic 2–1 Rampart Celtic

Rampart Celtic’s 100% start to the season came to an end on Thursday night as they slipped to a 2–1 defeat against Quay Celtic at the Army Barracks.

Drogheda native Cormac Reid hit a first-half brace for the Point Road side, his first a well hit drive from outside the box and his second a tidy finish under Kevin Mullen after a neat one-two.

Reid went close to completing his hat-trick only to see a shot come back off the upright and even though Luca Marsella pulled one back for Rampart, the hosts held on to claim their second win from three games.
