DkIT goalkeeper named on GAA Rising Stars Team of the Year

DkIT student Joe O’Donoghue has been recognised for his performances in the local college’s Trench Cup success by being named as the goalkeeper in the Higher Education Independent.ie GAA Rising Stars Team of the Year.

Joe, who is a second year business student, played an integral part in DkIT’s back to back Trench Cup victories over the past two years and is a deserving winner of this award.

His good form has also resulted in him being called up to the Cavan GAA senior panel.

This is only the second time DkIT has had a player picked on the team following on from Daniel McKenna’s selection in 2016.
