DFC | Dundalk FC’s trip to The Brandywell pushed back — again

Lilywhites will now meet Derry City on May 14th

Dundalk FC’s away game with Derry City, which was due to be played at The Brandywell this Monday, March 18th, has been rescheduled for Monday, May 14th at 7.45pm due to international call-ups.

It is the second time the fixture has been postponed. It was originally set to take place on Friday, March 2nd but was cancelled due to Storm Emma.

Candystripes trio Conor McDermott, Jamie McDonagh and Ben Doherty have been named in the Northern Ireland U21 squad to face Spain on March 26th.

Elsewhere, Ronan Hale and Ronan Curtis are expected to be named in the Republic of Ireland U21 squad for the game with Azerbaijan on March 27th while Rory Hale is due to feature for the Irish U19s.

Speaking after Dundalk’s game with St Patrick’s Athletic on Monday night, Lilywhites boss Stephen Kenny said that Jamie McGrath was also set to be named in the Republic of Ireland’s U21 squad for the Azerbaijan match.
