CYCLING | Hat trick of honours for local cyclists at awards night in Dublin

Cuchulainn CC, Eve McCrystal and Bike Station all win awards

It was quite a night for local cycling at the Cycling Ireland awards which were held at the Crowne Plaza in Santry on Saturday.

Cuchulainn Cycling Club saw off competition from Blarney Cycling Club, Carn Wheelers, Courtown BMX Club, Emyvale CC, Killarney Cycling Club, Sundrive Track Team and Wexford Cycling to be named as the Club of the Year for the third time in the last decade.

Eve McCrystal — who picked up an Outstanding Achievement award alongside Katie Dunlevy — was also named as the Domestic Female Rider of the Year.

The hat trick was completed by The Bike Station, based in Brid-A-Crinn, winning the Bike Shop of the Year award.
