CHARITY | Fighting Fit members raise over €2,000 for Pieta House
Gym teams up with Clann Naofa Boxing Club for ‘The Underdog Project’

Over 30 members of Fighting Fit Gym recently took part in a double fundraiser in aid of Pieta House, a charity that helps people in suicidal distress or engaging in self harm.
In June, they tackled Hell and Back, an outdoor obstacle course where participants run a distance of 12 kilometres through muck, freezing water and a number of natural and manmade obstacles. A few weeks later, in July, the team climbed Slieve Donard, the highest mountain peak in Northern Ireland.
“I’m very proud of everyone who took part and so grateful that we have such a brilliant community of people in our gym who are willing to undertake these challenges and make such an effort to raise vital funds for such a great cause,” said Stephen Mulligan, owner of Fighting Fit.

“Pieta House is a fantastic charity and we are so lucky to have been able to help them out,” he added.
The charity have a positive impact on thousands of lives every year and rely on donations. Visit www.pieta.ie to donate or enquire about hosting your own fundraising event.
The Fighting Fit Team are now looking forward to September 9th when they will host their biggest fundraiser to date ‘The Underdog Project’, a white collar boxing show in association with Clann Naofa Boxing Academy to raise funds for the local boxing club.
The show will take place in the Ramada Resort Hotel and is sure to be a great night. Tickets for the event cost €20 and are on sale from the gym in Blackthorn Business Park.
