AUDIO | Dundalk FC’s Thomas Stewart: ‘We’re looking to go on a run’

Lilywhites striker eyeing some consistency

After beating Drogheda United on Friday night, Dundalk are intent on going on a winning run, according to Lilywhites striker Thomas Stewart.

The Portadown man made his first start for the club in the 3–1 derby win, a result that keeps the champions six points behind league leaders Cork City.

Stephen Kenny’s side face Finn Harps, Bray Wanderers, Bohemians and Galway United in the final four fixtures of the first series and Stewart said that the goal was to take maximum points from those games.

“Our aim is to win the league. We just need to get that consistency again. It’s important to keep ticking off wins,” Stewart told Dundalk Sport.

“We’re taking it game by game but it would be great to put a bit of consistency together and a few wins on the bounce to take some big strides.”
