A small group of Glenmore AC athletes travelled to Lourdes Stadium in Drogheda to compete in the Boyne AC Open Track & Field Sports Day on Sunday last.

The club had a strong female contingent on the day with Ciaran Flynn the only male representative. It proved a worthwhile trip as Ciaran stormed home to take the gold medal position in the U16 800m event.

Lisa Conlon ran strongly in the U13 100m heats and Katelyn Quinn finished second in the U16 100m event. Katelyn competed later in the turbo javelin and took the gold in this event, finishing off a successful day’s work.

In the girls U10 500m, Katie McDonald, Jessica White, Ruby Steeples and Saoirse Byrne all competed.
