Glenmore AC’s senior athletes were busy last week with several members taking part in a charity run in the dark across the mountain on Wednesday night to help fund Mark Pollack’s mission to find a cure for paralysis.

Well done to the following who supported it: Kenneth McBride, Shane Lynch, Lloyd Byrne, Gavin White, Ciarain Walsh, Shane Toner and Patrick White.

A big well done also to the Glenmore team who participated in Saturday’s Annagassan 10k Race.

Shane Toner was third with fellow club members Tadhg Leahy, Ronan Callan, Lloyd Byrne, John Doyle, Paul Flanagan, Fiona McQuade, Chris Connolly, Gavin White, Nuala White, Barry Woods, Joan Farnon, Vicky Leahy, Olivia Kearney, Ann McEvoy, Theresa Keenan and Geraldine McGrath also in action.

The race proved to be an enjoyable event for all with three first timers running a 10km and a few Personal Bests recorded. A special word of thanks to Ronan Callan for organising the Glenmore members on the day!
